The stadium can be dubbed "The Cave" and they can dress the place up to be a little more cave like. When the players come out it can have sounds and visuals of bears waking from hybernation, angry, ready to eat, and salvage like. Serve cave food like huge turkey legs or fire roasted kabobs. They can have an annual "cave day" when playing the other Bear team and all the spectators can dress up like cave people, like the flint stones.

Nice sound. And unique. The visual/marketing doesn't need to be literal -- no cave needed, just a bear. :clap:

Another option might be a Native American word for bears in Colorado.

I like it... Maybe a sweatshirt that just says "Ohkwari's" (Or one of the other tribe names for bear) with a small UNC logo above it.

A t-Shirt give away can be a regular t-shirt that has a pattern of a flint stone one shoulder cave person top. It can be in the school colors and instead of foam hand or fingers it could be a foam bone or foam club (which can also be used at the local bars, if you see a companion you would like to get more aquainted with, you can clib them over the head with your new foam club and drag them home) with the words fear the bears, the claw, or danger: Bears on the loose. There is great potential with marketing with the bear name.
 
Welcome to the Bear Cave -- we'll get Gun's 'n' Roses to reunite at Butler-Hancock for a revised version of Welcome to the Jungle.
