Re: Round 1: Hornets v. Vikings (Missoula, MT)

Hornets win!!

It wasn't pretty, but solid second half key to the win. Great job Katz and team.

Re: M: @ Southern Utah

Crashing back to reality, this is what we all remember about being Hornet fans. :crybaby:

I would try to say something optimistic, but at this point we know what's coming on Saturday.

My heart says we're going to win, but 20+ years as a Hornet fan says otherwise. So which side wins, emotion or data?

Re: BSC Tournament?

Congratulations to Wanless, Gonzales, the Administration, and the Sac St Students - your inability to act like a D1 program has finally caught up to you! How is it that after almost 20 years, no one has developed a realistic or achievable plan? Even if the Hornets don't win the regular season, all o...

Re: Better alternatives????

I don't think there's any chance Sac can get a bid to the NIT, there RPI is too low and they don't have a signature win. If they continue to play well I believe they would get a bid to the CIT (College Insider Tournament). I want them to make it to the Big Dance, regardless of being a 16 seed!

Re: M: @ Idaho State & Weber State

I think last nights game is a great example of how far this program has come - PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING THAT WE ONLY WON BY 3 POINTS. :thumb: In years past we would have been complaining that the Hornets can't win on the road. Good teams find ways to win when they're not playing their best, last night...

Nice win - congrats Hornets!!

Glad to see the team get the win on their first BSC road game, let's take another one at NCU.

Nice win!

After the ugly football season, it's great to get win in the basketball version of the causeway.

Re: Weber game

Time to predict the score for the game this week! I'm 4-0 this season, which unfortunately means I have been picking against the Hornets. :ohno:

Well I don't see things changing this week.

Re: Time for Changes

Regarding GCM’s posts, I think the rain had a major play in the awful attendance number. I would love to know how many tickets were distributed/sold. There would not have been more than 8k but even that would have looked better than the 5.6k that showed up. If that is the case what a piss poor excu...

Time for Changes

I know this has been mentioned in a number of threads but I thought we should have a consolidated dialogue. I agree with a number of posts, it's time for a change at AD as well as Football HC. Athletic Director - I will give Dr. Wanless credit for the track program, the soccer program and for assist...

Re: Week 4: Sac State vs Southern Utah

Alright, I haven't seen any predictions thus far so let me start. The Hornets have not displayed they have the ability to beat a quality FCS team. Southern Utah has beaten an FBS team so far, as well as a beat down of a DII team. Until the Hornet show they can perform on the field I'm going to pick ...

Re: Week 3: Sac State vs. Southern Oregon

I think this is going to be more challenging than people expect. SOU has a strong offense that can put points on the board - Sac has not generated much of a pass rush thus far so I would expect SOU to put up points. On the other side of the ball SOU has struggled to stop teams at the DII level. Whil...

Re: Week 2: SAC @ ASU

I can understand we're 0-2, it's not realistic to expect us to beat an FBS opponent every year. But it's very unsettling with how the Hornets have looked in these two games. It shouldn't matter who you're playing, you can't get shut out two weeks in a row, or be out scored 79-0 in the first two game...

Re: Week 2: SAC @ ASU

Good to hear there is a solid fan turnout. Probably would have had a few more if it were a weekend game. Score prediction: ASU 45, Sac State 10. I think this one will be a massacre. I have to agree that this one is going to get out of hand. Todd Graham likes a fast pace offense and attacking defens...

Re: 2013 Week 1: Sac State @ San Jose State

Poor play calling and poor QB play were the reasons for the loss - not the lack of a hotel room. Very true, I was at the game, a lot of questionable things were going on. I was not saying that a 125 mile bus ride on game day, dropping the team off in a strange locker room four hours before kick off...
