• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Exhibition against U. British Columbia at 1:00 pm Thursday August 15 in Hillsboro. I guess there is no place to play soccer in Portland.

Only a select few Europeans get to play soccer in the city. The rest of us have to look elsewhere.

We're walking a fine line here. The last thing we need is for Pounder to once again "explain" how the Timbers kicking everyone out of PGE Park is so much better for the city.

Last time PSU had soccer games on the regular in the big stadium, 60 people tops. At least that's how it looked.

Something that seats a minimum 5,000 with grass and therefore can be shared between Timbers2 and PSU would be an improvement, if it's on light rail somewhere not too far away. 5,000 is the magic number because it is US Soccer's second division minimum. Even then, that might be too big for PSU. Still, that scenario is not out of the realm of possibility, as the Timbers are going to want to limit the total number of games played in PP if/when grass is installed. Then again, the Timbers helping make a small expansion to Merlo at UP to get to 5,000 is also not out of the realm of possibility.

Or, as several USL stalwarts are trying to get the MLS-in-same-town-feeder-teams out of USL Championship and probably into USL League One, same concept doesn't even have to seat 5,000 (maybe 3,500). The strange part is where USL Championship just signed an expanded access deal with ESPN (there's been a game of the week on cable most weeks this year) because some of the standalone cities in the league are actually drawing people and viewers. So keep an eye out or something like that.

So... PSU goes 4 wins and no draws out of 18 counting games, and 3 of 9 in conference... yet gets the 6th seed and goes to the conference tournament in, um, Greeley next week.

Playing Eastern Washington on Wednesday, winner gets Sac State on Friday.
