How do you know they're LDS?
Aiden Carter already left Eastern for a mission so I know he's LDS. I guess the commit might not be LDS but he's from Utah. Like 42% of people from Utah are LDS on the low end.I looked at his social media and it doesn't have any religious stuff but it doesn't have much of anything at all. I doubt you could discriminate based on religion officially. I guess some will even hide it as to not scare away non-LDS schools and hurt their recruiting chances.

Kids going on a mission is typically helpful for their football prowess. It allows them more years to develop. It’s nice to have 21-23 year olds on your team, especially at this level where very few players are highly developed right out of HS.

Not sure how walking door to door trying to convert people to one of the weirdest religions helps football prowess but okay.

Exactly this

Also, not sure saying "one of the weirdest religions" shows much tolerance. I'm not Mormon, but I don't like seeing good people called weird.
Per Google, Tolerance - the ability or willingness to tolerate something, in particular the existence of opinions or behavior that one does not necessarily agree with.

I'm showing a lot of tolerance. I have never said they aren't allowed to practice their religion or have their beliefs no matter what I may think of the religion.

I called the religion weird not the person. i'm sure he is a normal, nice guy. Most Mormons are.

I tolerate having to explain shit to you, that you misunderstand constantly.

Do you guys even know what someone on a LDS mission does? It is very strict, he probably won't have anytime to practice or even go to the gym.

"A full-time LDS mission is very rigorous due to its strict schedule, demanding lifestyle, and emotional challenges like frequent rejection. It involves a demanding daily schedule of proselyting, personal study, and service, with constant companionship to ensure accountability. Missionaries must be physically and emotionally prepared for constant social interaction, homesickness, and rejection, along with strict rules that limit contact with the outside world, including no personal social media or unlimited phone use. "
Daily and physical rigor
  • Strict schedule: Missionaries wake up early (around 6:30 AM), with days structured around personal study, teaching, and service.
  • Constant activity: The day involves extensive time spent proselyting on foot or by bicycle, which can be physically demanding.
  • Limited personal time: Rules prohibit or severely restrict entertainment like TV, movies, and social media, with the goal of focusing completely on the mission.
  • Self-sufficiency: Missionaries are responsible for all their own cooking, cleaning, and laundry, along with other daily tasks
I honestly don't see how any of this translates to football but if you guys say it just automatically makes him better.
