• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

None of these names have been posted to the official Hornets site, for some odd reason.

That is odd, I’m guessing is because they will not be eligible for spring practice, so they will just add them at a later date.

Still missing, Chase Jackson.

Here’s a new one that I didn’t see anywhere else, Sac State didn’t announce. Carter Kraft qb from the Montana area, had an offer from the Grizzlies and signed with Sac State.

Carter Kraft will be taking his talents to the Home of the Hornets as he will make the jump back to linebacker for Sacramento State.

Nice pull over the Griz. Kid has nice frame, will bulk up (just a little) and fit nicely into our scheme.

Since these new recruits weren't added until now, I'm guessing they are PWO's.

The stat on having zero scholarship players hit the portal speaks volumes to where Coach Thompson and this staff have this program headed. The future is bright.

How about a big grad transfer portal stunner… Skattebo back to Sac State…???

Pass. I'd rather see those reps go towards developing a young RB on the roster.

I’d rather see those reps go to the best player on the roster. Makes no sense to wish otherwise. That’s how teams typically win games. Fielding the best talent they’ve got on their roster.

Regardless, Skat’s not coming back. So you don’t have to worry about it. But if he did want to, “pass” is just a silly POV. He’d be far better than anyone else on the roster, just as he was before he left. Not wanting a player like that reeks of an emotional agenda.

Of course it's emotional. He bailed from the one program that offered him a scholarship out of high school for a "better situation." So yes, I'll pass. I enjoyed watching Skat play as a Hornet and I wish him the best in his future endeavors.

SD...coaches leave programs all the time for better situations and then return at a later date...frequently as head coaches. I'm curious, do you see those situations differently than players leaving and returning?

Different for leaving? No, I have no problem with coaches or players leaving for a better situation. I've stated that multiple times on this board. Ultimately, collegiate athletics is a business and sometimes decisions in life are just a simple math ($) problem.

Returning is different given that players only have so much eligibility vs a coach who isn't on a strict timeline. Coaches bouncing around for promotions has always been a part of the business for as long as I can remember.

The Montucky QB who left a few days after the final game for the portal, is back in the portal, and the jizzers are lapping it up to have him resign with them.
