Graduate Transfer. He’ll be playing for one year while he gets his Masters at Sac State.

Sounds like a great get. Time will tell, obviously, but landing a 6-9 shooter hasn’t happened often.

Too bad the transfer coming in only has one year. Wonder what the injury was that ended his season last year? Will be interesting to see who else commits. If Wisconsin is on the Riverside Big doubt he comes to the Big Sky. Might have a shot at the Oregon State kid. His stats really nosedived last year and he did not play after December 5th. He lost his starting position and decided to step away from basketball for the rest of the season according to an article on Oregon Live. Transfer portal is really crazy. Read that kids may get one free transfer, but if they are transferring for a second time they will need to get NCAA approval to play immediately. Not sure if it will play out that way.

I am sure we will see a few more transfers. By my count we have three more scholarships available. Also possible another player or two is asked, or gently persuaded to move on depending on who we can get from the portal. Have not seen a commitment from the Hunt kid yet. So not counting him unless he does. Will be interesting to see what the offense looks like when McRae is on the floor. Might have to play a slower pace to take advantage of his size. He was honorable mention in the Big West so assume he can translate similar to Big Sky. Will take a team effort to replace Fowler and his production.
