Hornets open the season in Texas winning a tournament hosted by UT Arlington.
Great to see Sacramento State winning their first three match ups of the year on the road in Texas.

Now on to Nevada and another tournament, this time at UNLV.

Stingers up for our Hornets as they remain away from home a lot to start the 2016 season.

Nice 3-0 sweep of BAKO tonight down the road in Bakersfield in the Runners home opener after our Hornets opening the season in Texas by winning a tourney and dropping 3 matches at UNLV.

Now back on the road in New Mexico and Texas again before coming home.

Keep up the great work Hornets on the road!!

Sure the team is looking forward to some home cooking and some fans cheering them on after all these road games to start the 2016 season.

Stingers Up!!

Nice sweep today over UTEP in El Paso after dropping a nail bitter against New Mexico State and a humbling performance against Arizona as one of almost all nationally ranked teams in the Pac 12. 5-5 so far on the season and playing for the first time at home against rival UC Davis who we have dominated for decades.
Best of luck to the Hornets the rest of the way with home games finally on the schedule the rest of the way, and think more home games on the schedule then away. ..
We do extremely well on Colberg Court in Hornet Gym.

Stingers Up!!

Hornets go down in a sweep against UC Davis in the home opener. Not good. Now at 6 defeats the volleyball team who only had 7 defeats all season last year are not looking like a team who can improve on last year.

Hope things will turn around at the Sac State tourney coming up before the Big Sky season starts.

Stingers Up!!

Excellent beginning to the Big Sky season for the Hornets beating Weber State in Ogden and handing the Wildcats their very first loss of the season after they had been rolling. And then today turning back Idaho State on the road in 5. A 2-0 start to the Big Sky season when the team opens the season on the road has been very rare, even during the glory years of the volleyball program.

Nice bounce back after a disappointing first home stand for Sac State recently and good to see the team briefly back home coming up against Montana before 5 more on the road in the Big Sky before 7 of the last 8 Big Sky match ups are at Hornet Gym. Very odd schedule this year but the Hornets are doing well on the road and hopefully will continue and put up wins in the 2nd half of the Big Sky regular season which is all at home accept for one late season road game.

Hornets sweep the Griz at home on Thursday and take down the PSU Vikings tonight in Portland to remain unbeaten in the Big Sky at 4-0.

Now on to road games at UND and UNC next week and SUU and NAU the weekd after before coming back home for 7 out of 8 games in Hornet Gym to finish Big Sky play.

Keep it up on the road Sac State!!

Stingers Up!!

A tough road season is done for the Hornets. Time to light it up at Hornet Gym and win all the games now at home (accept for 1)

Go Hornets and Stingers Up.

Nice to be home this week and sweeping Idaho on Thursday and the directional school from Washington tonight

Go Hornets!!

Stingers Up!

And the home domination continues

Two more dominating sweeps at Hornet Gym this week

Sweeping Northern Arizona on Thursday and Southern Utah tonight after somehow losing to both these teams on the road a couple weeks ago. Baffling, especially baffling against the 4-20 SSU team.

So our Hornets are back on track and showing up as the proud volleyball Hornets and looking to get past MSU on the road and then the last three Big Sky matches yet again at Hornet Gym. Just one game behind NAU and North Dakota in the Big Sky north and south standings with still a chance at hosting the Big Sky tourney.

Would be so nice to see the tourney back at 6,000 J Street where it was for so many years back in the day.

Time to get it done

And the Hornets are looking amazing!!!

Go Hornets!!

Sweeping Stingers Up!!

Hornets win two more, at MSU and at home last night against PSU. Hornets moved into a first place tie in the Big Sky south division. Will come down to the last weekend to determine the regular season champ and the Big Sky tourney host

Go Hornets

and

Stingers Up!!
