Together Viks Auction Nets More Than $150,000 For Viking Athletics

The recently-concluded Portland State Athletics' Together Viks auction and fundraiser proved to be a big success. The event, created in place of Wine and Roses, served as an on-line fund-raiser for PSU Athletics that generated more than $150,000 for athletics scholarships over a 10-day period.
Together Viks, which was presented by Evergreen Gavekal, provided an opportunity for fans and supporters to bid on auction packages from PSU Athletics and make donations. In the end, 123 donors provided more than 150k to support all Viking athletes and programs.
Every Portland State program developed a unique package to auction during Together Viks. That allowed fans to engage with and support student-athletes from their favorite teams. And that engagement worked both ways. Although there were 123 donors that participated, many more members of the Viking community supported student-athletes in other ways, specifically through social media engagement and by posting encouraging messages on the Together Viks platform. In all, there were 751 unique participants.
"We want to thank everyone who participated in this great event, with special thanks to our presenting sponsor Evergreen Gavekal," said Josh Keller, Associate Athletics Director for Development and organizer of the Together Viks auction. "Jeff Eulberg and his team have supported Wine & Roses for years and when we learned we would not be able to host the traditional fundraising event, they were on-board to help the Vikings in whatever way possible. They remained flexible and creative throughout the process of developing this program. It wouldn't have been possible without them."
