After a tough home opening loss to Northern Colorado, we welcome the Montana schools to the Pavilion this weekend.
First up, Montana State from Bozeman, MT on Thursday at 7pm. The Bobcats come in at 2-0 in the conference, garnering a home court sweep of Southern Utah and Northern Arizona last weekend. They are 7-5 overall with some tough losses to Marquette and TCU earlier. They do have some Northwest connections with Madeline Smith from Snohomish, WA and a freshman foward, Hallie Wright from Aumsville.
Next is the Lady Griz from Montana on Saturday at 2pm. They also are at 2-0, having swept Southern Utah and Northern Arizona last weekend in Missoula. They are currently 7-4 and will play at Sacramento State prior to coming here on Saturday. Three of their four losses have been to Gonzaga, Washington and Arizona so they have played a tough schedule so far. Like the men, the women's team has a good Northwest flavor to them as well with two from Washington (Sammy Fatkin, Snohomish and Carmen Feller from Colfax) and two from Oregon (Katie Mayhue from Albany and Abby Anderson from Glencoe High School in Hillsboro).
Both games will be on Pluto TV.
