• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Congratulations to our Sac State women's track team for winning the Big Sky indoor championships today at NAU. Our first Big Sky championship of 2015!!! Came down to the last race of the all Big Sky meet in altitude in Flagstaff and the sea level Hornets did it!! So proud of them And proud of our men who came in 2nd. Now on to the outdoor track championships later this spring at EWU where I predict the Hornets will sweep the titles.

An amazing program with amazing athletes that just get better and better every year .

Bummer that we cannot hold the indoor championships with such a first class track program But assume we would need to figure out how to put a huge bubble over Hornet Stadium. But perhaps the new downtown arena can host this event in the future. Sort of like North Dakota with their football games at an off campus stadium.

Track and field is such an amazing sport with such amazing athletes.

Go Hornets!!!

Hornetsports posted a championship preview interview earlier in the week, Raske thought they had a good shot for 2nd place overall with an outside chance of bringing home the title. Looks like the Hornets hit pay dirt on that outside chance by winning the 4 x 400 in the final event of the meet.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — The Sacramento State women's team captured the team title at the 2015 Big Sky Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships and the Hornet men finished second on Saturday at Northern Arizona.

Actually, the Lady Hornets had a less-than-a-point deficit to leader Montana State going into the mile relay, in which the Lady Bobcats were not only favored, but had the lead going into the anchor leg. BOTH teams broke the Sky record set last year in an incredible finish. Sac also won the weight throw.

Per the Hornet Sports article, that wasn't even the only record the Lady Hornets set. New school marks were ALSO set in the 220 and the quarter mile. On the guys' side, second place was secured with a last-day surge, including wins in the shot and the heptathlon.
