Re: Tribune article on transfers...
Yeah, it's clear he isn't as invested in the program and more importantly the players than he needs to be. One thing, if he actually wants to be a head coach in college football (beyond just seeing his kid qb through school), he is going to have to re-commit and get a job done at UNC. This "big...

Re: Tribune article on transfers...
There's a really good article in the Greeley Tribune yesterday about outgoing transfers. It sort of goes through things already mentioned on this board. Mentioned in the article (link below) - Players feel slighted about the nepotism in the program. Would Max really pull his brother during a game i...

Re: Big Sky Conference Play
Heck of a win over SUU last night. We really needed a good road win and this is certainly that. We even outrebounded them which was surprising since they are a much higher ranked rebounding team than we are.

Re: Transfer Portal - ins and outs
Yeah, it really seems like the wild west, and I assume there is a trickle down effect of teams like Wyoming trying to poach good players from FCS.

Re: Transfer Portal - ins and outs
Seeing all of these big names go from schools like LSU to Texas A&M as well as Nebraska to K-State, makes me wonder if we may start to see some other teams make runs because they have players that have played 3 or 4 years together. Kind of like NCAA basketball when experienced mid-major teams ma...

Re: Vincent Jackson Found Dead
Saw the news that Vincent Jackson was diagnosed with stage 2 CTE. I am not sure what the NFL can do about this but I found this statement interesting: "That his brain showed stage 2 CTE should no longer surprise us; these results have become commonplace," McKee said of Jackson. "What ...

Re: Signing Class
Wow, only 5 out of 15 from Colorado? Out of curiosity, I looked at Montana (Grizz) and they have 12 signings, 10 of which are from Montana. Not sure what this means. https://www.montanarightnow.com/sports/montana-grizzlies/griz-add-12-prep-stars-to-open-early-signing-period/article_bec2189e-5e35-11e...

Re: #8 Arizona
My guess is that the line will be around 25 points for Arizona. Anything more and I am placing a bet on UNC. I know I have said this before but it still thrills me that UNC is playing teams like this. As a student during our DII days, this is just very cool.

Re: Transfer Portal - ins and outs
Is that the risk you take when you relied so much on bringing in guys on the portal? Seems we are paying a bit for not building the program the old fashioned way.

Re: Big Sky Conference Play
Not a BigSky game but an old NCC foe in South Dakota and another nice win by the Bears (and another game that was probably closer than it should be). One thing is that this team knows how to win. They hit clutch shots and make their free throws down the stretch and it's great to watch. Hopefully Gre...

Re: Big Sky Conference Play
Another nice win for the Bears going 2-0 in conference. Those home wins are super important and it seems they are getting a decent turn out at Butler/Bank of Colorado "arena".

Big Sky Conference Play
Nice win by the Bears at home against Montana State. Sketchy at times and they still need to improve at closing games out (OT should not have ended only up 2) but it's great to start off with a W.
Knecht was a beast at the beginning of OT.

Re: Volleyball in the Big Dance!!!!
The Bears had set 3 but really let it get away. Would have been nice to take one from them (we had it in us) but having the coach at home with COVID really hurt. Just another outstanding season though and a lot to be proud of. Certainly our best D-I team sport at UNC, consistently competing for conf...

Man, this Washington State team has some outstanding blockers up front. The 1st set is getting away from us. Hopefully the Bears can bounce back.

Volleyball in the Big Dance!!!!
I think we actually got a favorable seeding/draw lining up against Washington State in Waco. The bad part: "Due to COVID-19 protocols head coach Lyndsey Oates will not travel with the team to the NCAA Tournament. Associate Head Coaches Pi'i Aiu and Jon Haruguchi will serve as co-head coaches.&q...

Yeah, that was a heck of a comeback. This teams shows a lot of heart, will be interesting to see what seed they are (hopefully good enough that they are not matched up against a 1 or 2 seed in round 1).

Re: Congrats to our Volleyball team - Tied for Big Sky Champs!
Just watched the semi-finals game against Portland State. UNC is on to the Big Sky Championship game for the 3rd tournament in a row. I hope Lindsay Oates is the highest paid coach at UNC, she really has been tremendous for the last 16 years.
