Re: Dylan McCaffrey to transfer

Would love to see him here, but it might not be a good idea because of the nepotism factor.

Big 10 and the McCaffrey's

Does anyone find it odd that coach and wife signed on threatening to sue the Big 10 to let their son's play this year, yet I don't recall coach Ed really fighting for UNC to actually have a season?

Re: Jacob Bobenmoyer

Great news! Can't wait to see him play on Sundays. I think he's the only Bear currently in the league. Sloter has had few tryouts, same with Alex Wesley, but I'm uncertain if they've latched on to any teams.

Re: KFKA drops Troy

That's really too bad. C19 sucks. He is good at his job, and I am sure he will land on his feet somewhere. Are they planning on just having Rath in the booth? Are they going to cover UNC anymore?

Re: Fall Football

I do not see how they will pull off a Spring season; but who knows? It's best to not play this year considering the lack of talent on the team and a new coaching staff that had something like 4 total practices with them.

Re: Fall Football

I would love to see what #87 can do with this program. A good and charismatic coach did wonders for our basketball program which nobody ever cared about. I think a 3 or 4 years of winning football with a coach that is recognizable and loved could do wonders for our program. When I was a student (ea...

Re: Fall Football

The more I think about this, the more I am in favor of just getting rid of the football program all together. The school cannot afford any major financial blows to the athletic department and it looks like there might not be a full season. It's very doubtful we go to Fort Collins to lose and get the...

Re: UNC Bears at McNeese - September 12

Looking forward to the game. I believe when we played you two years ago, you did come out with the win, but we sort of made a game of it with a pick six in the 4th QT. The bad thing about all of this Covid stuff and sports is that it's a huge factor with new coaching staffs coming in trying to imple...

Preseason Big Sky Polls

Not good news for the Bears, as the coaches and media both predicted UNC to finish last; and then today they released the all-conference lists for players. No Bears on the list. It just goes to show how bad recruiting has been the past couple of years under the previous staff. Coach McCaffrey has hi...

Re: Fall Football

New Mexico's governor has asked UNM and NMSU to move sports to the Spring. I would have been okay with this say several weeks ago, but now that I think about it, I don't see how it's possible. It's going to be a mess regardless. The issue though is this virus is not going to go away after 2020, nor ...

Re: Fall Football

University of Montana's A.D. has been pretty transparent about the process Fall sports will go through. I can't upload the video for some reason, but he has stated the conference A.D's have been in talks once-a-week since this thing happened. All sorts of things are on the table, such as shortened s...

Re: RIP Coach Hoffpauir

Interesting story on the situation from the Denver Post. Coach suffered from concussions, and depression. His brain is being donated for study. His father is adamant that he did not kill himself though. Still really sad to read about. Prayers are with his family and friends. https://www.denverpost.c...

Fall Football

Anyone have thoughts on how the season will go this Fall? I noticed the Big Sky officials announced that it will allow individual schools to make choices on when/how to start this year. However, things changed dramatically as the California State University system stated it will primarily be online....

Ed Werder interviews McCaffrey...

ESPN (and UNC alum and great ambassador) Ed Werder will have a sit down interview and conversation with coach today at noon. It will be on Facebook live. I for one do not have Facebook, so anyone who does, please relay back any important questions and comments. I believe you can send questions too. ...

Daylon Kountz is transferring to UNC via CU. I'm not sure if he will be required to sit out a year due to transfer rules. Here's his biohttps://cubuffs.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/daylen-kountz/13067

New Running Back from U of Michigan

Tru Wilson is joining the squad this year as a grad transfer from the Wolverines. He was a walk-on that earned p.t., and I think eventually a scholarship. Our McCaffrey connection is already working out! I'm sure Dylan pointed Tru in our direction. https://mgoblue.com/sports/football/roster/tru-wils...
