• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Fourteen years after retiring as Portland State baseball coach, Jack Dunn is getting ready for one of his biggest outings.

On Jan. 3 in San Diego, he’ll be inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame.

Dunn, recent author of “From the Third Base Coaches Box,” a book on winning baseball strategies, will join six other longtime coaches who have made major contributions to amateur baseball and their communities.

In addition to Dunn, the hall will induct Dave Altopp of Lee University, Larry Geracioti of Georgetown, Dusty Rhodes of North Florida, Bob Todd of Ohio State, Jack Vallely of Curry College and Jerry Weinstein of Sacramento City College.

Dunn coached Cleveland and Wilson high schools before compiling a 630-439 record in 20 seasons at Portland State. His Vikings won NorPac titles in 1977 and 1984.

He also is a member of the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame and Portland State Athletics Hall of Fame.
