• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Congrats to the Cheer team

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Sacramento State cheerleading squad finished second in the small coed Div. I competition at the 2009 UCA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championships at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex in Orlando, Fla.

The UCA College Cheerleading Team Championships will be nationally televised on Feb. 22 on ESPN 2 beginning at 1 p.m. EST. The broadcast will be repeated throughout the spring on the ESPN family of networks.

Interesting how a school one former UOP quarterback attended (namely, moi) finishes second in the cheer championships to a school one of his teammates (namely, Gio Carmazzi) attended after the ignoramus Don DeRosa pulled the plug on UOP football....

Anyways, while congrats are in order, this is nothing new. I believe that Sac cheer has won at least one national title in the last fifteen years or so, perhaps more.

I'm not sure they've won the national title or not, but the article did state:

Uh, does this belong in the football section, or other sports? They do cheer for the football and basketball team but are a separate sport.
