• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Chicago State has had it with the WAC

Chicago State leaving the WAC. Said they had assurance when they joined that the WAC was going to develop a "hub" in the Midwest. The WAC's recent expansion into Texas has shown they are going a different way.

No word on if the school is closing...

The WAC was a marriage of convenience, the conference of last resort after the Great West was sorted. I still think it is, but the schools that WANTED to join do provide something of a purpose. IOW no other Midwest D-2 schools were that desperate to jump.

Also, that statement is great excusery for a school that needs to publicize this just to prove to their students that they have an athletic program. Frankly, if the school remains open, they need to drop a division or two anyway.
