Apparently, they removed him again? But does anyone know what happened to Daniel Fortune? It seems like he’s nowhere to be found as far as our official roster and such. In addition, he removed a lot of Sac State related things on his Twitter? He was supposed to be next in line to replace Dotson.

I believe it is! Shades of Jameel Pugh transferring home from UMASS.GreenArmySwarm wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 8:34 pmThis might be the first true 4* star (DeShawn Lynch was rated a 4* star before his Junior year at Folsom) and a high school All-American to play for Sac

It’s hard to say, his Twitter account no longer mentions about being a Hornet. I hate to speculate, I’m not too worried about it with all the talent we have signed lately. Could be his grades, not happy with all of the talent we signed at his position.

At what date will we see the 2020 recruits added to the Hornet Football Team Roster?
First Day of School? The Day they are admitted academically and register at Sac State for classes?
Thanks

My guess would be when the roster gets updated for fall camp. The way things are going, I'll be surprised if there is a 2020 season.SoCalSacHornetFan wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 10:24 am At what date will we see the 2020 recruits added to the Hornet Football Team Roster?

I think the teams will play and the amount of practice times the teams have to prepare will be shortened?

Thonye Charles from South Hill HS in Chino, CA.
Kid looks quite fast in his highlight package.

“Bennett also considered transferring to Sacramento State, which hired his former head coach at Folsom High as offensive coordinator in the offseason. Ultimately, the pull of playing at home was too strong to pass up.”
I feel like if Kevin Thomson wasn’t so solidified as the starter, Bennett would have been a Hornet. But be on the look out for next year/year after if he doesn’t win the job at Nevada. There’s a potential here. Also potential for a Grad transfer later on in his career...

In 2018, the Hornets had ZERO Folsom players on roster. Now they’ve got 9.
Parker Clayton, Cameron Broussard, Gavin Davis-Smith, DeShawn Lynch, Ariel Ngata, Dylan Jorge, Joseph Wagner, Tyler Hardeman, & now, Kaiden Bennett

Looking ahead into 2021 season, it should be interesting to see how the QB's room plays out. An "embarassement of riches" almost. Now with Kaiden Bennett in the fold, there's 3 highly rated QBs within the same "timeline" in the fold. Updated QB room (+2021 recruit):
IF* Dorian Hale stays committed, I would not be surprised if either Hale or Duvalko ends up transferring to JUCO and try to find their way to a different program after 2021. (That's with the assumption that Bennett (based on familiarity with the system/coaches + talent) gets the starting nod. Great that Bennett steal has all 4 years of eligibility remaining
12 Jake Dunniway QB 6-1 210 Jr. 1V Tracy, Calif. / San Diego Mesa JC
7 Yaro Duvalko QB 6-3 180 Fr. HS Vancouver, Wash. / Skyview HS
3 Jayden Machado QB 6-1 204 Jr. JC Elk Grove, Calif. / Sacramento City JC
8 Tristan Meyer QB 6-0 190 Jr. 2V La Mirada, Calif. / La Mirada HS
NA Kaiden Bennett QB 5-11 185 R-Fr. 1V Sparks, Nev./ Folsom HS / Boise St / Nevada
2021 NA Dorian Hale QB 5-11 175 Inc.Fr. Concord, Calif / De La Salle HS

Another thing I found interesting, Jayden Dixon-Veal (second highest rated recruit ever) is not on the official roster where it looks like almost everyone on 2020 recruiting class is. Is there something going on there?
Could this be another Daniel Fortune (another 3 star / 2019 recruiting class) that never ended up showing up to campus?

IDK what the answer is. I checked his twitter page and he’s still followed by all the Hornets coaches. He also has a bio page on hornetsports.com, but isn’t listed on the roster like you said.GreenArmySwarm wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 8:34 pm Another thing I found interesting, Jayden Dixon-Veal (second highest rated recruit ever) is not on the official roster where it looks like almost everyone on 2020 recruiting class is. With regard to your comment about him being the second highest rated recruit ever, what are you basing that on? Just from this recruiting class alone, DeShawn Lynch had more recruiting interest from power 5 programs. And was a 3 star. So was Dulvalko. I see JDV listed as a 3 star as well, but not the same interest from marquee programs as Lynch.
