Re: 2019 Recruiting

Hornets just got a commitment from Jake Dunniway a QB from San Diego Mesa JC. He committed out of high school to Davis but transfer after his freshman season. He played at St Mary high school. It looks to be a solid catch as he had a pretty good freshman season at the JC. From his highlights he look...

Re: WAC Positioning to Bring Back Football at FCS Level?

BSC is a very serviceable conference I know traveling can be a challenge at times but its a way better conference than WAC. The WAC answer to losing Bakersfield is picking up Dixie State...WOW what a pick up. To me the WAC is on life-support. But if there is an opportunity to jump to the Mountain We...

Re: 2019 Offers

According to Joe Davidson, we have 10 more scholarships to offer this season. It seems like we had more than 13 seniors on the team but we may have a few gray and red shirt players.

Re: Sears Fired

Outstanding choice...Thank you to Mark Orr and Robert Nelsen for making this happen. It is so nice to have 2 guys that have a great vision for this program. This has not always been the case in the past. I have not been this excited about the program since Sac State beat Oregon St in 2011...Stringer...

Re: Causeway Classic Moved to Reno

Well it is Wednesday and if we were going to make a coaching change I’m sure we would have heard of it by now. Well it looks like we are going to retain a coach that has been a head coach for 7 years between two programs and has had 5 season in which he did not win more than 2 games. One of those se...

Re: Causeway Classic Moved to Reno

After getting ripped today and losing by average of 24 points over the last 6 games. It is time for a coaching change. I know the injuries played a big part in the season but it seems like the players lost focus and direction and most importantly the will to compete. It is time for Mark Orr to put h...

Re: Week 4: Sac State at Montana

It is funny that a grizzly fan comes onto our site complaining about how bad the officiating was for both teams. This coming from a fan in which his team only had 3 penalties all day and none on the offense side of the ball. Basically their offense never started in a negative position due to no pena...

Re: Week 4: Sac State at Montana

A dropped interception for a touchdown, a missed field goal and Montanas offense line getting away with holding penalties all day will get you beat in Montana. Unfortunately they had no answer for their gimmick quarterback. Otherwise it was a very entertaining and competitive game

Re: 2018 Schedule

To make sure that I understand the delay in releasing the schedule was due to the fact that we are attempting to schedule a NAIA school from the Midwest. Wow, I better get my tickets now before the game sells out. Unbelievable!!

Re: 2018 Schedule

Any news on the schedule.... Currently the Hornets only have 10 games schedule for the 2018 football season. I know there was talk that they were attempting to schedule a Division 2 opponent for Labor Day weekend. It appears most of the schools across the country have already announced their 2018 fo...

Today is the start of the early signing period and I goes through Friday. The Hornets just received a commitment from David Perales from Merced JC. He will be transferring in as a sophomore. He had 14 sacks as freshman for the Merced. Here is a nice article on him. This article was written before hi...

Re: Commitments

First of all...thanks Green Army for the update on the recruiting and commitment trail. I found this article on why Jarrell Anderson chose Sac State. Looks like a nice catch for Sac State. A three star recruit from Seattle, Wa. https://csus.247sports.com/Article/2018-Rainier-Beach-Seattle-Wa-TE-Jarr...
