Re: Not Good News At All...

The JCs are going online too so their fall sports are also in doubt. The state D2s have cancelled their fall sports. Let's hope that something can be worked out before the fall. I can't see all the CSU's not playing in the fall, especially Fresno, San Diego and San Jose too much at stake. This would...

Re: Keep Coach Katz

Tough game last night, looks like the Hornets battled. Numerous wonderful stories posted on Facebook supporting Coach Katz. There are few college jobs as political as the basketball HC. 1. Colleges highly political. 2. Current 'woke' culture. 3. Challenging to hire black professors, so colleges can...

Re: Keep Coach Katz

Aggie fan here. FWIW, I watched the Hornets this year and was impressed by their defense & balanced attack & Katz's positive demeanor. Maybe AD Orr made his decision after last year? Anyway, the team doubled the Win total this year, and recruiting no picnic w the Nest & older facilities. He even ha...

Re: M&W 2019-20 Season

Excellence in regards to the type of student-athletes he has brought in to represent us. The last I heard something like 35 of the 37 athletes he has brought in have graduated. Kids with character, proud to have them as fellow alumni, unlike some of the gym rats previous coaches recruited.

Re: Hula Bowl

I watched most of the game, both Ming and Obinna played a decent amount for the "Red Team". Obinna made a TD saving tackle during a goal line stand in the 2nd quarter. Strange game, very low attendance, apparently this is the first Hula Bowl they've had in about 12 years. Not sure how the teams were...

Re: Big News Coming Next Week

The three Cali FCS announce a move to the WAC. Might be as late as Feb but it will happen. Better chance of us getting a $50m stadium upgrade. LOL. The guy just doesn't quit. Ever. It's a long boring winter up in the frozen tundra! He has to find a way to amuse himself other than the booze!

Re: Congrats Coach Taylor!!!

Pretty incredible if you think about how far the program has come in a year. No idea, but I'm sure Coach Taylor has hit most, if not all of the bonus clauses in his contract - 9 wins Top 10 ranking Made the playoffs BSC Champs BSC Coach of the Year National Coach of the Year May have to bump ticket...

Re: Hornet Stadium Experience at Causeway?

The biggest problem I've had with large crowds has been the long wait at the entry gates. They need to open more gates and have more staff to check bags etc. They knew it was going to be near capacity but the staffing looked the same as a regular game.

Re: POLLS (STATS & Coaches)

Most advantageous for the Hornets would be for Montana to beat Weber then lose to MSU. If Weber stumbles vs ISU in their final the Hornets would be sole BSC champion. Even if Weber beats ISU the Hornets would be co-champions, assuming we win the next two. Still don't understand how Montana ranks abo...

Re: Week 12 - Sac State at Idaho

I would never assume Joe Davidson has any inside information...even though he loves to pretend that he does. I also don't believe anyone on this site knows the status of Thomson...it's all conjecture. It's difficult for me to imagine that team has lost the motivation to win but it is very reasonabl...

Re: Girls Soccer Hits Milestone

The Hornets (10-1-6, 4-0-4 BSC) took out Idalol (4-12-2, 1-5-2 BSC) 1-0 in double OT yesterday. The goal came with 44 seconds left in the second OT. Midfielder Samantha Craig called her own shot before bagging that goal. Sac now has a Big Sky-record 16 match unbeaten streak. Wow! Sac's only loss ca...

Re: Week 6 - Sac State vs Eastern Washington

So excited to start the Big Sky season. And great to have the first game of Sky play at home against the FCS defending national runner up. EWU is an amazing football program and has represented the Big Sky huge for a long time. A school of 12,000 students from a town of 12,000 citizens. Very impres...

Re: Week 4 - Sac State @ Fresno State

Another great effort, can't wait to see what these guys will do in the BSC! Hopefully we can use the bye to clean things up before EWU. There was a lot of penalties tonight. We had 147 yards in penalties tonight to Fresno State's 61 which didn't help. The kicking game has also been inconsistent this...

So, is this game going to cost ASU at the end of the season?
It "cost" them $700,000 last night! I wonder how much Fresno State pays?
