Bengal Great Butler Dies

Very sad news from Missouri. Idaho State great Lawrence Butler has passed away at age 61. Butler, who is in the ISU Ring of Honor, beat out Larry Bird to lead the nation in scoring in 1979.

Very sad, he was the best offensive player that I ever saw play at ISU. His ability to post up down low was something to see at 6' 3". RIP.

Saddened, disappointed, but not necessarily surprised that I haven't seen any mention of this on the athletic's website. Bridges to all Bengals need to be built, rebuilt, and maintained.
