• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

In the schedule section for volleyball, there is a pretty cool video link after some of the games that links to a youtube video of the coaches and players press conference interspersed with highlight video of the game. It's pretty cool.

Only has 25 hits so they could probably use more views to justify doing it.

The people in Athletics who do those videos do a great job, and the interviews and highlights are really good stuff. They're only a few minutes long, but definitely worth your time.

In other news, the UNC volleyball team dropped a 3-2 contest to Weber State tonight, a team the Bears haven't lost to since 2008. They get hot down the stretch, yes, but can they rebound and make a push towards the top of the conference? Would like to get a discussion going here.

From watching the youtube videos, it seems that they lack the aggressiveness that previous teams have had. Without the swagger, they begin playing on their heels.

I wish I had time to get into this more (it's difficult to follow on east coast time),the players work hard and it's an entertaining sport to watch (and seems fairly well attended live).

Coach Oates will have this team in the top 1/3 of the conference by the time the season ends. The biggest thing this team is missing is a killer instinct. They get up on teams, let them hang around and end up losing. Last night was a perfect example.

Idaho St. came in here earlier in the week and clearly showed why they are the favorite in the Big Sky. UNC isn't in the same category with them at this point.

Agree. But it'll be a process. Ashley Guthrie is going to be a special player this year - led the team last night with a .429 kill percentage.

I've been really impressed with freshman that have gotten playing time this year. They've done a great job contributing to already very good product.

It was a great piece. Thanks for the heads up. I think the VB girls are starting out a little shaky but hopefully can turn it around ! Go Bears!
