• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

CHENEY, Wash. -- The nicknames are already flying and Eastern Washington University hasn't even begun installing its new artificial turf.

The Slaughterhouse. The Blood Rug. The Bordello Bowl.
...
Eastern Washington, located in this suburb outside Spokane, has long been a successful FCS program in the Big Sky Conference. But the Eagles have never gotten much national recognition, or even that much local attention. Attendance is usually around 5,000 for football games at Woodward Field, a tiny stadium on the edge of town that is surrounded by wheat fields.

Nice to see this make ESPN. It is nice to gets some publicity but we need to come out and run the table in the Big Sky and win an out-right championship and make a deep-deep run in the playoffs possibly making a National Championship appearence. A season like that coupled with the new red rug will make a huge statement for this program. Go Eagles!!!

looking forward to a great game Sept. 18. hope everything works out and the new turf is in place. always like to see improvements in the BSC.

I like the idea of the new field turf, although it would be nice to see at some point some much needed improvements in some other areas of the stadium that drastically need it. The visitors section really needs a permanent grand-stand arrangement. It doesn't even have to be anything massive, just something permanent to give the venue a true "venue" like feel. The new press box and locker rooms were a nice start, and the field turf and new score boards will be a really cool addition, but at some point something needs to be done about the actual stadium itself.
