We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

Due to impending weather UNC will host CSU Bakersfield in a doubleheader on Friday starting at noon. The third game will be played on the weekend if and when the weather allows.

The Roadrunners come into the series with a 7-23 record (2-7 in the WAC) while the Bears sport a 6-22 overall mark with a 1-5 record in the conference.

Dustin Frailey leads the CSU offense with a .408 average, 2 homers and 12 rbi's with 8 stolen bases in 27 games.

Dean Lawson leads UNC with a .361 average but only 36 at bats. Cole Maltese (.276, 4 hr, 13 rbi) and Brett Minnick (.188, 5 hr, 15 rbi) are top sluggers for the Bears.

UNC have been on the road for most of this season with a previous WAC home series cancelled by weather. Hopefully being on the home field will give the Bears a lift to take this series and move up in the conference standings.

Bears with the sweep! UNC played their two best games of the season on Friday against CSU Bakersfield. Game 1 resulted in a 9-2 UNC victory. Corey Nakakura (3-2) took the win with 5 innings pitched, yielding just 1 earned run. Allen Cooky & Cody Carroll combined for 4 shutout relief innings. Dean Lawson led the Bears going 2 for 5 with a triple, 2 runs scored and 3 RBI.
Game 2 was a nailbiter with a 3-3 tie going to extra innings. Cole Maltese launched a 3 run homer in the bottom of the 10th for the walkoff victory.
Game 3 was cancelled on both Saturday and Sunday due to weather.

UNC is now 8-22, 3-5 in the WAC and hosts Air Force (weather permitting) on Tuesday before hitting the road for 3 games at Chicago State in another important conference battle.
