• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Bears baseball continues early struggles

UNC dropped 2 straight at Division 2 Colorado Mesa. A 7-4 defeat on Tuesday was followed by a 13-4 drubbing on Wednesday. The Bears record now stands at 4 wins and 15 losses. There is one more pre-conference game left next Tuesday when they host Regis. After that WAC play begins on March 24 when the Bears host UT-Rio Grande Valley for 3 games.

It is not too hard to decipher the cause of the Bears current woes. As a team they have produced just 57 runs in 19 games while allowing 128 runs by their opponents. UNC is batting just .212 as a team. Their pitching staff has an overall ERA of 6.32 while their opponents hold a 2.61 ERA against the Bears. Fielding has been fairly solid with UNC committing 22 errors thus far versus 18 errors by the opposition.

With this weekend off, hopefully the players and coaches can get things turned around and have a solid week with 4 straight at home coming up.

Wow, really tough start to the season. Too bad this kind of record doesn't earn them a #1 draft pick.
