• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

White roses this year. Très chic. And a lot of fun for the guests.

or did the two Vik-Alums think of themselves as no-longer-Viks (as "Ex-Viks") ... ?

$655,000 in one evening isn't too shabby!

2017 Wine And Roses Fund-Raiser Proves Most Successful Ever

http://www.goviks.com/news/2017/5/25/2017-wine-and-roses-fund-raiser-proves-most-successful-ever.aspx

The Portland State Athletics Wine and Roses event at the Portland Art Museum on May 19 proved to be better than ever. The largest fund-raising event for PSU Athletics annually, Wine and Roses generated $515,000 for scholarships and an additional $150,000 for the Viking Pavilion project. That made this year's edition the highest-grossing ever.
Some 500 people attended an evening including a live auction and silent auction to benefit Viking Athletic Scholarships. Wine and Roses has proven to be the best annual event for student-athlete alumni, donors and fans to come together and spend an evening celebrating Viking Athletics together.
Highlights of the evening were numerous, including:
• Once again Portland State appreciates the presenting sponsorship by Evergreen GaveKal.
• Speeches from two great alumni, Theresa Lepow (soccer) and Micheal Dorsey (football). Lepow, who worked in the White House of the Obama Administration, and Dorsey, who is a Marine, shared inspiring stories and were great examples of why those in attendance care about and invest in PSU Athletics.
• Recognition to Denny Ferguson for a decade of service in fund-raising for Viking Athletics.
• Two major commitments to the Viking Pavilion Campaign.
• Football Coach Barnum surprising the audience and two (walk-on) members of the football program with full-ride scholarships.
• Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler attended in support of Portland State University.
• Live music throughout the evening, as well as Viking student-athletes in attendance, assisting with the event and singing the national anthem.
The 2018 edition of Wine and Roses will take place next April 28th. It will take place in, and be the Grand Opening of, the new Viking Pavilion!
